iSight Test - check your child's vision at home
iSight Test is an iPhone/ iPad application to download and check your child's vision at home.
If you are a parent whose child is having treatment for amblyopia (lazy eye), or has just been given new glasses, you can now use iSight Test to record and monitor your child's vision during treatment between hospital visits
Some children don't respond well in a clinical environment and their vision assessment may be delayed for several months. With iSight Test you can practice the test with your child at home in familiar surroundings where children are most likely to perform at their best.
This app has been designed by eye doctors to enable anyone to check their child's eyesight at the earliest possible age using the same accurate testing procedures that they use. It has all the information you need to test vision properly and provides clear results and jargon-free interpretations. You can save the results for later comparison.

Hoppity Frog
Hoppity frog is a colouring and activity book designed to help children with amblyopia understand their patching treatment in a simple and fun way.
The rhyming story gives a simple account of having an eye test and getting glasses and an eye patch.
The cheerful pictures and story of Hoppity and his friends provide a positive role model that can also be used in the classroom to promote understanding and empathy with a child who is being patched.
The story book is a 20 page A5 booklet.

Wedgees
Wedgees glasses retainers fit discreetly behind your ears, giving your glasses a soft grip to hold them in place, without the need for cords or straps around the head, which can be uncomfortable.

Toy Glasses
These miniature eye glasses are just like the real thing for your doll or teddy bear. Any child will love to give their favourite cuddly toy a pair to wear.
Pretend play with glasses will help a young child to accept their glasses more readily when teddy wears glasses too.
They are made from robust plastic with a clear acrylic lens and look just like real glasses, with hinges to fold the glasses up at bedtime.
